Exchange or Upgrade of Drive Units - The Exchange/Upgrade Scheme explained

  

The Exchange Scheme was first introduced in the early 1980s. Its introduction was innovative, providing an unequalled service to existing Lowther customers, and creating a fast and easy method to obtain the best service in as cost effective a way as possible.

 

The advantage of the Exchange Scheme is that when servicing is required, there is no wait for the repair and return of drive units. Under the scheme, new drive units, to the latest specification, can be despatched prior to the return of the existing ones, which are then returned once the new drive units are installed.

The same procedure applies for customers wishing to upgrade. Our Price List specifies the recommended upgrade choices. However, if a required upgrade is not listed, please contact us and we will be pleased to advise as to suitability and price.

   

EXCHANGE/UPGRADE PROCEDURE *

1. Contact us and specify your requirements, and we will give you an order number.

2. Send your remittance, quoting your order number.

3. Your new units will normally be despatched within 14 Working days of receipt of payment.

4. Return your old units by the most economical means, (usually surface post), the transit starting within 28 days of receipt of your new drivers. You can use the packaging your new units arrived in to do this. Please remember to let us know who is sending the package!

* This procedure does not apply to the exchange or upgrade of PM2A/PM3/PM4/PM5A drive units, which need to be returned to us prior to the despatch of new drive units. These units still qualify for the Exchange/Upgrade prices.
